OBJ, just to update you on the latest:
I hooked the beast up to muffs yesterday, with all wiring connected it started right up. Ran a little bit rough at first and smokey but didn't stall or anything. Pulled the kill switch and took a handful of seconds but died. Hooked back up and fired right back up so whatever's been going on in the past with the kill switch and such didn't show up this time. I hooked up a meter today just to check the sensor and charge coils. According to service manual the sensor coils should read 8.5 +/- 2 ohms @ 70F, and I got ~13 ohms on both pairs of leads but at 90+ degrees, so would that make any difference? If you got any questions in particular mikeyzx2@peoplepc.com is my address. I got some other particular things I couldn't get any answers on with my 8hp Seahorse also, and I got a question about an old Merc I acquired for cheap if you can help any. Thanks

Mike
