Hi!
I'm new to this forum, and already have a question.
I've just purchased 6 meter fisherman with 1989 Suzuki dt85. Outboard is in great shape, and I plan to keep it that way. Because I've never owned such big outboard I have an unusual question. Thing is - i plan to keep the boat in a marina during the summer-autumn period but it won't be used every week, so I'm guessing that it's not a good thing to leave an outboard unflushed from salt for a month. Is it possible to tilt the motor up so the lover unit is out of the sea, attach the muffs and start the motor while tilted, flushing it with freshwater for a few minutes?? That's the plan, as I said earlier, on my old boat I had 9,8 Tohatsu so it wasn't a problem removing it from boat, flushing and storing it... This is a completely different heavy, complicated beast
Thanks!
