untrailering a boat on land

What is the procedure for taking a boat off of a trailer on land? I need to fiberglass the bottom of my 800# boat and need to take it off the trailer and be able to get underneath it to work. How is that done?

Put in reverse, go really fast and hit the brakes. Shell come right off.

Or

Lower the front of your trail as low as it will go so to lift the stern of your boat up. Put support under the stern and raise the front of trailer. The stern will now be off of your trailer. Using tires or stands support the the keel and stabilize the sides. Anchor the back of your boat to a tree or ?. Pull the trailer out from underneath your boat utilizing your tow vehicle and just keep adding supports as you go.

Their are lots of posts on this subject with many different methods. This is just that I used and it worked for me...
