Unknown?

Hoping someone can help me with a problem. I have an Evinrude 1977 115hp model # 1157935. Motor runs and starts great but when I am out on the water lately the motor, when I try to plane the boat races like it should be going faster but does not. I drop the throttle and slowly accelerate and it worked fine but the first time I couldnt get it to work, it seems to be getting more frequent. Is there something going wrong? If so would you know what it might be? The lower unit? Mabye carburators high speed/low speed things in them? I did just change the lower unit lube and it appeared to be fine/water free. Thank you in advance for any assistance!!

I'd almost put money on it that you spun the hub take a VERY close look at the hub on the prop and you might be able to see if the rubber is torn or deformed. another way to check would be to use a marker and make a line across the hub, take it out for a rip and try to duplicate the problem, then check if the line is still there.. prop shop can fix it or get a new prop.
