ON my boat that i recently bought and just got around to installing an outdrive on, i found something interesting. As i was cleaning off the exess grease around the gimble bearing and removing some crud from the inside of the bellows, I pulled out a large round rubber gasket, which i pulled the part number and identified as a "gimbal bearing seal" it was stuck to the outdrive side of the gimble bearings in a chunk of grease, and i have no idea, and seemingly neither does anyone else as to where the hell it goes. i checked the repair manual, and it makes absolutely no mention of the thing. Any ideas and how to put it back in?
