I need to replace the microphone on my Unide (Polaris) VHF radio, I can't figure out how to remove the mic. connector. I removed the control head and looked inside and it looks like it's completely sealed.

I know it unplugs from the inside, I just can't remove the cord from the radio.

Ant help would be appriciated.

Some mic cords are permanently attached at the radio end and some at both the radio and the mic. If that's the case, you need to open both units, unsolder the connections and replace the cord. That job by the way should be performed by a service agency who is licensed for such repairs. Messing with a transmitter can result in improper operation that affects other RF devices (on aircraft for example).
