Unhooking 1976 Johnson 85

Never unhooked one of these motors. Can anyone talk me through how and where to unhook the controls and shifting stuff from this motor? Got the steering and cable off though. Thanks much

Ayuh,... Under the hood, follow the cables to where they terminate,...

I ain't done an ole OMC in years, but it's usually a cotter pin, or turn lock, or whatever,....

Oughta be fairly self-explanatory,...
