I just rebuilt my 1978 115 Johnson v-4 crossflow outboard, new pistons, cylinders honed, carb kits, t-stats, gaskets, water pump, etc. and started it on the earmuffs on 25:1 fuel oil mix. It ran well at idle and fast idle with a good stream out the tell tale but the left hand bank of cylinders when facing the back of the boat was noticeably hotter to the touch. The right bank got warm but the left was hot. I could hold my hand on the left bank but it was definitely hotter. At high idle both holes on the lower unit had a little warm water flowing from them. Any ideas on if this is normal or where I went wrong?
