comments. Thinking about under-skinning my pontoon. Standard practise material is .065 marine grade (whats the difference) aluminum sheets. I've stumbled across alumicore panels. Available in 3mm, 5mm, 10 mm. It sure appears that a 3mm alumicore sheet would be superior to a .065 sheet. Easier for a one man job, less susceptible to "stretching" from wave pounding. Never seen a thread on here from pontooners , so , curious.
