My U-JOINT has one side that is very stiff,<br />Any Pro & Con on replacing U-JOINT with one that has grease fittings ??<br />Thank you for any replies. :confused: <br /><br />Mario

My opinion is that one with grease fittings would be more desirable than without.As Bondo stated .Charlie

Don't know what drive unit you have, but I have been checking around for some u-joints for my mercrusier and have found out that rockwell makes a so called "heavy duty" u-joint that has larger journals and grease fittings....makes sense to me.....

While BSing with my local marine mech, he told me that sometimes the "heavy duty" u joints have clearance problems in a mercruiser. This is hear say as far as I'm concerned so take it for what it's worth. Maybe others can comment on personal experience.<br /><br />DougV>
