Re: type Q spark plugs

I'm not an expert on the subject but from my knowledge the number of the plug is how hot the plug burns, ie: a BR10HS burns hotter then a BR7HS

the Q and R are indications that there is electronic dampening equipment in the plug, prevents the plug frequencies from interfering with non shielded electronics in the boat and on the motor.

if anyone can elaborate on this more please do so.

The "Q" and "R" indicate the method of reducing electrical noise. Q is an inductive method, R is resistive method. Shouldn't matter but electronic ignition power packs are expensive replacement parts. Plugs are cheap -- put the right ones in.
