1974 Merc 50Hp with Type A carbs. This motor is currently a sea level. Seloc manual says .063 jet for 0'-4000'. .063 jet for 4000' to 7000'. This motor will be spending the rest of its days in Idaho, at 4300' on American Falls Res. Is the jet size VERY crirical to get it to run at elevation? I currently have the front cover off to install a new switch box, so the carbs are accessible. Can I put the .061 jets in and expect to tune it up here at sea level?
