Nice.
But doesn't sound like you followed the plan you outlined a few weeks ago. :D

Did I say "nice"?

I meant to say "Really Nice."

Plans sometimes go by the way. Saw it, liked it, bought it. I may have to spend some more money for a sedan of some kind for the wife's grocery go getter. She is VERY intimitated by this vehicle.
She can't drive our (mine) Ford Ranger manual shift but I've talked her in to using youngest son's (23 year old College Grad that lives here with no job) Mountaineer. I paid for the his vehicle so I should be able to use it with advance notice and he can drive the Ranger

Re: Tyme bought a truck

We bought a 2004 Ford F-150 Screw for my wife over my objections(we get a GM discount since I worked for GM). I am more impressed than I thought I would be. Not sure whay year yours is but in 04 they had a few problems that we had to have fixed by the dealer:

1) Wheel Shimmy
2) Pulsating brakes

For the most part they fixed those problems.

I would suggest changing to ceramic brakes after the first set goes. The reason is that the brake dust on these are pretty bad making the front wheels a bear to clean.

Our fuel mileage is around 16 highway and around 12 in the city. We have the Lariat which displays your fuel usage.

We tow 7000# with ours. We have the 3.73 rear and the 5.4L engine. I wouldn't want to tow much more than that with this truck.

Very nice - and a much better solution than your original plan in my view. I think you made a good choice there.
