1) I went to my local auto parts dealer for 3 NGK B8HS-10 plugs for my Yam 90. They only had B8HS, but told me it is the same plug. Is this ok to use?
2) The same guy says to put a popular anti-sieze compound on the threads. An OB mexchanic once told me this stuff has copper particles in it and therefore is detrimental to an aluminum-threaded assembly. Would common waterproof grease be OK to use on spark pllug threads?
Thanks for any advice.

Re: Two Spark Plug Questions

Waterbill, Don't bother using those plugs as you'll be taking them out later. The number10 plug has a rather long nose on it to put the spark further into the chamber. Use only the BHS8-10. nevjb

Re: Two Spark Plug Questions

the -10 at the end of an NGK sparkplug number means that it is gapped at 1.0mm or around .040". Regular NGK plugs are normally gapped around .025-.030".

Re: Two Spark Plug Questions

hello
those plugs will work ok. you will just have to carefully change the plug gap. I dont use any sealer/anti-sieze on the plugs, if you need to then use one with a nickel base not copper.
good luck and keep posting
