can someone give age? and answer this? can my tiller be converted to remote control?it has shift and throttle in tiller handle #od 278767 mariner 25 hp .

year is 1994. yes, i am pretty sure you can convert it to a remote control. You will have to either find the parts yourself online or go to a dealer and talk to them about it. Pricing wont be cheap though. I did the opposite of you. I converted my 1992 merc 40 from a remote control to a tiller and i got the parts from the dealer and it was 1800 dollars dealer installed plus the cost of the motor when i bought it.

i did look at dealer computer parts list found the steering hook ups but no sign of shift and throttle conversions,this may sound odd but does anyone no fuel mix ratio ?i have been running 50to one 16oz to six gallons no info on motor.if it's supposed to be 100 to one will it be detrimental to use more oil then recomended?
