200TL79A with two pistons that have machine grooves on the skirt and a top ring groove that is approx 1/4" down from the top. The other four have a smooth skirt and a top ring approx 0.032" from the top. Could someone tell me witch ones are the correct pistons??

Your engine was probably rebuilt sometimes during it's lifetime. Depending on when it was done, both pistons are acceptable factory pistons. You probably have two pistons with the high piston ring configuration. Not sure just when they first came out, but these were standard by 1979 and were supposed to increase piston compression somewhat by moving the ring up on the piston. They were made for a few years till OMC began having ring/carbon issues with them, causing powerhead failures-they were abruptly discontinued. All subsequent factory pistons had the ring grooves lowered. They both will work and should weight the same, despite their configuration. The low ring piston is what is sold as a replacement today.
