I have Twin 1993 Yamaha 150 Horsepower outboards on a 23 ft Boston whaler Walkaround. I came out one morning to tilt the motors down, and nothing. I thought the Batteries were dead so I jumped the Battery (made a mistake and had the leads reversed) batteries were not dead. Now both motors contunually tilt up until I shut off the batteries. I unplugged the swtich on the controls that tilts both motors. In fact, I unplugged the controls completely, they still tilt up with the battery engaged. The individual tilt buttons on the engines have no effect. I disconnected the wire from both up tilt solenoids and manually tilted the motors down so I could still use the boat. When I press the down solenoids on the individual motors I can feel the down solenoid engage but no motor action. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
