Twin 2000 Yamaha 250s saltwater series Oil problem. On the dash the guages said my tanks were full. As I was driving my alarms when off. Both tanks on the engine were low so I filed them manually. My remotes tanks are hard to get to I have a 3070 Pursuit. I put 1 gallon in each of the tanks and ran the boat again. The alarms when off and the tanks on the engine were low again. Do I need to do something special to prime the tanks? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

The oil tanks will not self feed until they are at a certain level. Fill the tanks up, use the manual switch to fill the engine tanks, then see if they work then. I'm thinking you got the main tanks too low and the gallon wasn't enough to restart the automatic transfer.

Most likely the intake screens on the remote oil tank pumps are plugged up. Just went through the same thing on a 28 GW with 225 Yamaha’s
