Turns on by itself

Lately, my Lowrance LMS480 refuses to stay off. The only way I can keep it off is to disconnect the power/data plug. I can turn it off but it comes right back on shortly after with the backlight flickering, the display itself is ok. It works fine while on. Has anyone ever experienced this problem?

troubleshoot it, found bad button membrane, the power button stays half way closed all the time. All other buttons work normally.

Now, the next question is does anybody know of a part source for these older Lowrance? Called tech support and they told me for the LMS480m I can send the unit in and they will exchanged it with a refurbished unit for almost 300 bucks. I told them no thanks.
