www.tiedown.com Has anybody tried the oil filled wheel hubs on your trailer? Large trucks have used oil bath hubs for years and now their available for you trailer. There sold at www.championtrailers.com and others. Take a look, seems like the 'perfect' solution. Not very expensive either. ;)

Re: Turbo Lube Hubs by Tie Down

I saw them but i didnt opt to get them i decided on the spindle lube with normal galvanized hubs, i like the heavier grease ( less likely to leak out too) And do the turbo lubes give you a positive pressure so water cant get in? Only reason i say this is because of how they put emphasis on needing a smooth spindle and then theyre talking about applying sealant on the wear sleeve etc, too much hassle for me last thing i want is to be on the road and the hub wont hold oil because of the back seal at least i know grease would stay long enough for me to get home. Although by reading up on it i would agree it looks like turbo lube is a superior method of lubricating the bearings.

Lugnut 36...thanks for the imput. The key as I also see it is to be sure the rear seal is running on a very smooth surface, but then again its the same seal we've always been using and that's where the water comes in. A little positive pressure might be a important thing. We'll see what kind of imput we get. Goodluck with the new rigging! Thanks for your thoughts. From your post it sounds like Champion is a good place to do business. ;)

Yep the only way to find out is for people who have run the system for awhile on submerged axles to post up. But the system uses 80w 90 gear oil which most lower units on boats use and i believe rear wheel drive cars use. If you give it a try let us know how it goes for you i always like to hear how new stuff works out.
