tunnel drive

Have a 79 Penn Yan 23ft. Sportfisher tunnel drive. Recently replaced right hand engine with left hand and new left hand prop. Lost 1200rpm, rooster tail is smaller in height and off to starboard, pulls hard to port. Vessel has a step rudder toward starboard. Do I neeed to also change the rudder?​

I have the same boat, different year. My rudder is standard and a bit smaller. Not too many Penn Yanners here. Here is a photo of a right hand prop and a port rudder.
