tuning a 40 hp tohatsu

Hi. I have a 40 hp. It needs a tune up. (I'm guessing just plugs and cleaning carbs.) While I'm at it, I am wondering if anyone knows where i might find a set of carbs for a 50 hp and a new intake? I've heard this will give me a bit more power to get to my fishing hole.<br /><br />Does anyone know of a place for parts or other cost efficient suggestions?

Any Nissan or Tohatsu dealer can sell you parts.

Thanks for the imput. I've priced them. For the carbs and intake it was only $600. Does anyone have any other simple suggestions for gaining power on my 40 horse?

Change the reeds....Also, depending on the year model of the engine, you have to change the block and crank to get a 50 hp.
