hey guys, I have a 79 55hp johnson and the bottom carb had a broken idle tube (the tube that is in the center of the carb through the middle of the float that is inside a larger tube) so I replaced it with a good clean used one.
GIVEN THAT THE CARBS ARE IN LIKE NEW AND VERY CLEAN CONDITION. how do I go about getting the motor to run and idle good. The engine will run but not idle without the "warm up lever" on the control box up. when I start the engine it runs good but when I put it down all the way it stalls.
