I have a grizzly tracker 17ft with a mercury 40hp efi. Its a modified aluminum v and goes about 26mph with 2 people and geared up. Could it pull a 1 person triangle shaped tube with less drag at around 15-20 mph? Would it be any fun? Also I am 170lbs and plan on riding it.

Best way to know is to try it! It doesn't take big hp to have fun.

I have a 16' Starcraft Fishmaster with a Mercury 40 on it, top speed is around 25MPH, and I have pulled my kids on a round tube and they love it. My son is 13 and my daughter is 10.

I have a 30hp Johnson on a 15' Alumacraft and I pull my 180lb friend on a tube with no problem. I can even throw him off (that takes some tricky driving though!). We have not had any luck skiing behind this boat, though we try and keep trying. We can stand up, but sink immediately I am pushing 200lbs.
