Make sure to have all the ownership paperwork verified as ready for legal transfer.
Performing the transaction at a bank that you have an account with is usually a good safe location to perform the sale/transaction.
Facebook Marketplace in my opinion works a lot better for private party buying and selling, however never hurts to list it also on craigslist.

If you inherited property, did you have the ownership legally transferred to you? Usually this is required in many jurisdictions before you can sell property that has titles or registrations. (The government wants its taxes and fees money one way or the other).
Otherwise if you cannot answer definitively that in many locations, the boats will only be worth their value as a parts/scrap boat (very little, depending on what boat it is).
