I Found this shell lake Boat buried in the bushes at my dads house that my passed away grandfather used to take out back in the 90's. I'm potentially considering restoring it as a project but I cant seem to find out what model this boat is. Does anybody know anything about what model this could be or where I could find out. I looked for some kind of serial number around the boat but couldn't find much quite yet.

I looked at some old shell lake model manuals online and they all have right sided steering wheels but this model has a left sided steering wheel.

Any info would be helpful. Thanks a lot.

Port vs Starboard helm was buyers choice when the dealer rigged the boat, so L vs R makes no difference to models

Compare the specs of yours w those posted here

If its close, its likely tbat model

Likely you wont find a Ser# to be helpful in IDing a model either..... they typically dont decode on Pre 1972 boats to give a year, make or model....

that looks like it will be a huge project, do you have experience with fiberglass boat restoration?
It will be a nice boat when completed but looks like a lot of work, but I've seen boats in worse shape restored.

That boat and several dollars later will sure be a looker. Beware, sentimentality has it's price.
