Re: trying to identify boat

NanukOO,,,,,it seems u and i are in the same boat, i was awarded a 21 ft fiberform, 1976 model, with the open ****pit, and cuddy cabin, it has a tag, a couple of inches from the steering wheel, should give u some information, also the registration number, of the right corner of the stern, is stamped into the boat, I have just pulled the engine in my boat, which was an inline 6 cyl.of chevy origin, and have determined it to be, something like a 292 cu in. also had a Rochester 2 barrell, with electronic ignition, the stern drive, was OMC, 120 H.p, and am going to continue to to refit this boat, as the hull and deck are in good shape, but it does need engine work, and carpentry work, inside,,,,,,I also bought a Clymers inboard shop manual, for 66-83 models of inboard sterndrives, from my local boat dealer,,,,,,it seems that OMC is into bankrupsy now, and Bayliner, bought out the Fiberform boat company in 79, and then bayliner, came out with the Trophy line, in 82, if any of this makes sense,,,,,but in doing a search for parts, they are still available, from OMC, or cross referenced with merc-cruizer,,,,,,,It does seem to be a rugged boat, and am sure gonna continue with the restoration of it, will take some time, but got more time than money,,,,,ha ha,,,,write email,,,,, m.faison@worldnet.att.net
