Trying to identify a Mariner 40HP

I'm hoping someone here knows more about these than I do. I picked up a new motor recently, a 40HP Mariner/Yamaha but for the life of me I can't find out anything about it for looking up manuals or parts. It's in real good shape I just want to know what it is and it seems to be a black hole. I have attached a picture of the tag but I can't find anything that matches it. It's a 2 cylinder oil injected (Mercury AutoBlend II system) with power tilt, model shows 40ELTO, code is 6E9 L, and serial is 500431. I think it's a late 80's but nit sure. Any help would be appreciated, just want to look up carb parts and props but not sure where to look.

OK, I tried to upload the tag but it keeps giving me an unknown error, sorry.

Thank you, where did you find the serial number ? I know the E is for electric start, the L is long, the T is tilt and the O is oil inject. What is the P for because my model only shows the ELTO on the tag ? And what's a Sanshin ?
