Found out today that iboats has OEM parts, and that's great :cheer2: but there is an issue.

Select a link (there are two) but neither tell me the top is outboard and the bottom is sterndrive, and maybe inboard
States "Enter HP, year, model #", this doesn't work. It want's the year first, and if I try to list HP after, that doesn't work

So entered 1981 and a list came up, selected 120HP then it list
VZ150 (2012), J10RLSUR, SE25RPLP, 120 (4893635 THRU 6225576) - OEM Mercruiser Parts

Parts don't match

I'm sure there are problems and your working on it, all I'm trying to do is list iboats instead of BAM.

toneeees - Can you look at this?

AD - I've found two links to the OEM parts and finding parts for OB and I/O's could be better;

Right on the front page - I'm sure this could change with promotions. I think it's just a quicky set of links to get people started. But to me, Mercury is Outboards and Mercruiser is IO/stern drives. The main parts page in the second snip is more definitive.

Clicking on Shop Now yields, with even more choices than this partial snip;

As far as actually finding the right motor, I must agree. Programmers writing code for stuff they know nothing about leads to these types of problems. The search box and the HP and year boxes always don't give any better results. More QC is needed.

I'm not rely sure what the issue is here. Are you just not able to find your model? There's also the ability to browse engines by HP & Year.

On the Merc and BAM sites, I can look up by serial number, type and/or year. As GA pointed out, on the main parts page there are two Merc links on the left, top is outboards, bottom is sterndrives. The issue is you have to click on it to figure this out.

In the search field it's not working very well. As example, take a 1995 502 V8 415 HP. Field shows to enter HP, year, model

I enter HP (415) I get unable to find
I enter 1995

I enter 502

When were trying to help on the forum in most cases we start with get info of 350, year and if it has a carb of EFI. Being able to bring up a list of V8's, then look down the list for the year and fuel type makes things easy. Otherwise what I'll probably do is go to BAM look the info up then try to find the same here.

Seeing that this is powered by Crowley Marine is probably the reason for the issues. Crowley doesn't have it setup very well in my opinion
