Hello, I have been searching through all of the parts sites and forums but can’t seem to find my little brothers Yamaha 25(cowel says 30) anywhere. I do know it is the model that started in 1983 but have seen comments that say past 1987 is the same design and parts.
The plate says: 25GM 6H7 L300247.
Any help figuring it out would be greatly appreciated as we are trying to replace the starter spring, impeller, lower unit seals, and cowel gasket over the winter.

1984 model year motor. Model 25GM . Just like the label says.

Where are you located? This is a US website. The 25GM model was not distributed in the USA by Yamaha US. That is why you will not find it at the Yamaha USA website. If that is where you have been looking for parts.

Where was the 25GM distributed? I am in New Jersey and the title and the guy I spoke to confirm it had been in Delaware owned by a older guy before but that’s all I know.

I have not a clue as to where it was distributed.

I would suspect that a 1984 25GM model would be very very very similar to a 1984 USA 25SN/25LN/25ESN/25ELN model, as applicable. Presumption being that your model has two cylinders.

Great that’s what I was thinking when ordering parts, I did a bunch of research trying to find international lists of Yamaha models and the only place I found info was a couple Australian boating websites, apparently there was a G series there in the 80s that was the GE, GEM, and GM. Thanks for your help hunting it down.
