Trying to figure out the year of 45 HP Mariner?

I'm looking at picking up a BMT combo that has a 45 Mariner on it. The serial number is A714855. I am used to Evinrudes and find the Mec/Mariner serial numbers a bit confusing to be able to zero in on what parts to look up for it and a repair manual etc. I looked at various lists and gone down to the proper HP and find A914859 - B110788 is for 1986 models, would that mean this motor is a 1985?

Thanks Fun Times, is there any general info on it anywhere, whether its a 2 stroke or 4 ( takes mixed gas or not, if so what ratio)
