This is a rare case of a boat ad on Craigslist where the seller is a good guy, with a brain that functions, and apparently the patience and forgiveness of a Saint. I used bold in his text where it counts. My hats off to this guy for having the forethought to protect his boat from idiots!
Nice SeaRay 260 sundancer
For sale I have my very clean 1983 Sea Ray Sundancer 260. Boat has been babied and in fresh water all its life. Last year she got 2 new batteries, new throttle cable, new gimble bearing, new alternator, all new Bellows, lower unit rebuilt, new thermostat and gaskets, 2 new bilge pumps and float switches, trailer was rewired, plugs, wires, cap and rotor, bottom paint, battery charger, cockpit vinyl and the carb was rebuilt. all interior cushions are currently being professionally cleaned and should be back in the boat with in a week or so. Boat starts and runs perfect Has trim tabs and gets up on plain and rides out nice and smooth. Is a perfect weekend boat has a head with sink and shower, kitchen has 2 burner top, fridge and sink. boat will sleep six. Has a nice canvas cockpit cover. boat has a single 5.7 260hp mercruiser that has plenty of power and is not to bad on fuel and a mercruiser one out-drive. Trailer is a a nice shore lander with 4 brand new tires and surge brakes boat tows like a dream!! Boat is always stored inside and is currently winterized and in my pole barn. $6500 OBO
ATTN Just a heads up I will expect you to take your shoes off to walk in the boat. Also the boat is winterized so if you are serious about buying it after you look and we have discussed a fair price. we can run the boat on the muffs but then winterizing it again will be your responsibility if you buy it, if you choose not to I will ask for the $50 It will cost me to winterize it again. I had my father let the the last guy in my shop because I was running 20min late and when I arrived him and his son were walking all over my boat with there muddy boots and said they had attempted to start it but nothing happened when he turned the key?!?!?!?! Luckily I take the batteries out during the winter and store them in my house or that idiot would have dry started and run my boat for who knows how long and I don't even let people with there shoes on my boat in the summer much or less wet muddy snow boots. . Any questions let me know.
So there ya go folks...proof that if you have something nice to sell, there is always an idiot around who will try to destroy it for you.
