I have a Mitsubishi truck outfitted with a Uhaul wiring kit put on about 6 years ago.
Worked fine, but now only the tail lights for the trailer will light up.
No turn signals or warning lights.
Tested trailer lights with tester, they test fine.
The Uhaul trailer kit has a converter connecting it to the truck wires. Do I need another converter in order for the lights to work?
In other words, can I just buy a wire kit from the store and hook it up?

You said you tested trailer lights and they were ok.
Now test the plug at the truck to see if you have power there. ie: turn signals, brakes etc.

Might just be a problem there.

Make sure your tester has good ground and then check each one to see if you are getting power at the truck plug.

If so, start checking wires on trailer for possible breaks in them.

Remember, green and yellow will be your turn signal/brake light wires.

Check for bad wires or dirty contacts on the plugs. Make sure the grounds are all good. I have had contacts on one end or the other of the plugs get dirty and not make contact.

Re: Truck to trailer wireing

I tried splicing into wires with another connector and still got the same result.
This was on the converter side also.
I havn't had time, but I think I'll remove the u-haul set-up and see if a new harness will work. Thanks for the help... :)
