I've always used Quicksilver, does it matter.
Was ordering stuff from Iboats, they don't seem to carry it.
What would you suggest ?
Thanks

Re: TRS Gear Lube?

Howdy,

I found several marine supply places near Deale, MD. You could also probably go to Walmart and get Mercury drive oil if that's what you must have.

I like Mercury HP (synthetic) gear lubricant but I'm thinking about using Amsoil synthetic Marine gear lube because the local NAPA has it and last check had it $2/qt LESS than Merc HP.

ymmv......

Thanks for the reply.
I'v herd the Amsoil is good.
Can i just drain the lube and replace with the synthetic?

Wow, you know where Deale is. Cool.

Yes. but you should probably let it drain over night. Make absolutely sure you refill it exactly the way Mercruiser says to do it.

Google maps are my friend!!!
