I am lucky to live amongst some of the best trout fishing water in the world. I live in Rotorua, New Zealand and I post here to welcome any enquiries about this part of the world.
For all you guys in the States, your dollar converts to about $1.50 New Zealand dollars - great spending/buying power here.

The rainbow (steelhead) are wild and hatchery stocked - size can be 10 pounds plus at 3 years old. Browns get even bigger but harder to catch.

Those that saw the Lord of the Rings Trilogy will appreciate the beauty of this country.

Want to know anything - feel free to ask.

Greg

Re: Trout Fishing Paradise

One of my best friends went to New Zealand and had a great time. He loved the country. Him and his wife went red deer hunting and toured the country.
The dollar exchange seems great .Just like Canada.
for every $100.00 american I get $50.00 more dollars. Nothing wrong with that.
If I come there I'm going to bring an extra 10 pair of blue jeans. My friend told me what they were selling for,"unbelieveable."

Fly Rod

You are right about the jeans but not everything is more expensive. The food and produce here is unbelievably fresh and good - no grain fed beef here as the still eat grass like they are supposed to. Yes and you can eat the trout too!

Hi Homeseller

I'll have a look for some sites for you - been a bit busy and might be a while. If you search on fishing New Zealand there should be lots of info & pics.

Don't worry about the plane ride it's soooo worth it when you get here.

Greg
