TROUT CHEEKS !!!

I'm searching for the thread in which trout cheeks were mentioned, so I can link it here.<br /><br />Tonight my 6 yr old daughter caught her first fish, an 11" trout... so I left the head on and look at this "cheek", it split open and contained the succulent treat of men's desires!!!!<br /><br />

Not only trout cheek's but the cheeks of most fish are the finest morsel on the plate.<br /><br />I made a deckhand mad once over fishcheek's. I went out on a party boat for red snapper, when we got back to the dock I told the mate who's job it was to clean the fish that I wanted the cheeks. This started a conversation amongst the other fisherman and soon they had all asked for the cheek's. Long story short he got mad because he was used to keeping them all for himself and feasting on them after a trip!

Snapper cheeks are the ones I've heard the most about, you can even get them at some restaurants on the Gulf. Good stuff.

Pretty soon we'll be catching fish, lopping their heads off, throwing the bodies in the water and feasting on cheeks!!!
