I'm having trouble starting my new 6hp 4 stroke Nisson. I have 3 hours on it at this time. If I follow the directions in the manual, I can't get it started. It says to loosen the air vent on the gas tank, pump the ball till it's hard, put it in neutral, SET THE THROTTLE GRIP TO SLOW POSITION, pull out the choke and pull the starter cord. I keep pulling and nothing happens.

However, if I do the same thing EXCEPT TURN THE THROTTLE TO THE HIGHEST POSITION, I can get it to start but at very high rpms. I immediately turn the throttle down and push in the choke.

What I'm really concerned about is the very high rpms it starts at before it lowers down to normal.

I have 3 questions. 1) Is this normal? 2) Will the high rpm cold start cause problems with my engine? 3) Would this be a warranty problem?
