I would say the motor is about a 2008 and we just purchased a house that came with the boat. Started up fine a couple weeks ago and now that we finally have the time to use the boat it isn't starting. Replaced the battery as I noticed they were a bit low and not getting the motor to turn over and also added some new fuel. Now when I turn the key all I hear is a high pitched noise? Any thoughts?

Sounds like the bendix might be stuck. Got a serial number?

Welcome aboard.

Will try to grab it later today. Just curious and read around some on that, a simple or technical fix if so?

I use 3 in 1, just a little. Pop the covers off and watch the starter to see if the bendix lifts up to engage the flywheel as the starter spins.
