Ok so my dad has a 93 16.5' crestliner fish & ski with a 75hp mercury outboard on it. The boat hasn't been in the water in probably 3 yrs but started maybe twice a yr. He wants to get it back out on the water but here's the problem.....Its fires up but runs really rough and dies if you don't rev it, he took all the old gas out and replaced a few hoses that were disintegrated basically and just wondering where to look next to save some time. Fuel filter and plugs are the next step and any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

It likely had dirt in the carbs. When was the last time the waterpump was replaced? Might be time for that as well.

Best to take them off and clean/rebuild them as dirt and varnish can not be blown out of the passage ways, and you will be sure that all of them are in good condition when done. Replace the water impeller if it has not be done in 3 years or more. JMO
