Hey folks- anyone out there ever ski behind a Trophy 1952 walk around? It has a 4.3l mercruiser. We're not looking for competition type skiing obviously- just want to know if anyone has done this. If you have, how did you attach the rope? There are just 2 cleats on the stern, one on each side. Is this sufficient or will they rip out. Thanks in advance for any advice. Doug

You can ski behind just about anything. Some are more suitable than others but just because it's not a ski boat doesn't mean you can't ski. To attach a rope, there is a three point harness that attaches to the transom tie down eyes and has an attachment point for a ski or towable rope. They are not very expensive and can be picked up on IBoats or just about anywhere that sells water toys.
