Any ideas?

I have twin 1997 150 johnson oceanrunners.I like to do the occasional trolling and I have been alternating eng. for trolling. With one eng. at idle in gear it is the perfect trolling speed.I would like to try to avoid buying a kicker if
i can.Is there any problem with trolling with these engines.I also give them a good run after trolling back to the marina.I use carbon guard regularly.

Thanks

Re: trolling with a 150

Howdy, PT.

I had a 1982 Johnny 150 that trolled for many hours at a time with zero trouble. Ran at cruising speeds for about an hour before and after trolling.

Decarbed it each 50 hours or so, but never had any indication that it was needed.

When I sold the boat it had about 300 hours on the original plugs.
