would a 11/2 hp johnson be good enough to troll with a 24 ft flote bote pontoon????

Yes, it will probably move it at a trolling speed, but may be considered a little on the skimpy side for HP. It can be assumed that you have other power as your main propulsion.

yes its a 85 hp force, ...... but your saying i need a little more for trolling then like what can i get away with 3,4,5,6hp??

A 1 1/2 would do it. If you have it use it and keep an eye out for 4 to 6 horse. Either one of those will idle right down and won't have to work as hard.

Timmy, Where are you trolling? If there is a significant current, wind or both, that 1.5 kicker will be hard pressed to control that boat.
