Trolling motor

We tried taking the propellar off to see if there was any string slowing the motor down but we can't get the screw to turn at all does anyone know what to do when you turn the propellar buy hand it fells funny like little bumps when you turn it.How do you get propellar off is what I'm asking thanks

DC permanent magnet motor should feel bumpy as it rotates within the poles.<br /><br />Perhaps they locktite-ed the screw. Try a LITTLE heat and a impact driver.
