My trolling motor works just fine when it's not real windy, but if the wind picks up the trolling motor will always throw the breaker after about 10 min. I never had this problem till this year. The trolling motor is about 3 years old. The trolling motor is a motor guide 37 pound thrust.

Hello noe:
never seen your motor, but....

>Measure current draw when under conditions to throw breaker.(best to use a DC amp-clamp)
>if current is 80% or higher than breaker rating = motor problem (disassemble and check)or batteries low.(applicable to some motors)
>if current draw is less than 80% of breaker rating, breaker is tired and needs replacing.
