Trolling motor size

I have a 2005 Sea Ray Sport 180 that I want to do some fishing out of....I want to put a trolling motor on it (Minn Kota) I have a 30lb thrust Endura Minn Kota (from another boat I had) but know I need a bigger one. Any suggestions as to what size trolling motor. Will be doing fishing mostly out of the local lakes around Sacramento California. The Sea Ray has an inline 4 cylinder motor and outdrive. I think the boat weighs about 2100 lbs empty. Thanks in advance for your help.

I would look for 50# and above. If protected waters, that would do ya fine....

You would not want anything less than the biggest 12V motor you can buy. Those are normally 55 pound thrust units like the MinnKota 55 PowerDrive or an equivalent from MotorGuide.
