There is a marine outlet store someplace near Dallas, that does all sorts of modifications, repairs, and upgrades to MotorGuide motors...<br /><br />After I bought mine, I discovered that the shaft should have been about 6" longer than Motorguide offers, but Motorguide WILL NOT do that modification, however their tech service guy, turned me over to this Motorguide franchised repair center,near Dallas.<br /><br />I looked for some paperwork I got when they did my work, with the name, but could not find it, nor was it in my e-mail box any longer. I want to say the name was something like "STAR Center"...<br /><br />Good Luck, Obiwan
