Trolling motor - Enough Thrust?

Hi all - <br /><br />My first post here. I have 21' 6" HydraSkiff Center console. Pretty heavy. Was wondering if a 46lb thrust trolling motor would do. Found a great deal on a used Great White with a 60" shaft(long enough for my boat).<br /><br />Appreciate the help.

Howdy, Glocer.<br /><br />I don't think so. Of course I don't know what you want to do, but I think you would still be at the mercy of winds and currents.<br /><br />I have a 40# on my BW Montauk, which is light, and I don't try to combat wind or currents with it.<br /><br />Good luck

Thanks JB - Thats kinda what I figured. Especially fishing the TX bays, etc.
