HI,

I've spent all winter researching Silverton & chris crafts for purchacing this spring. But wouldn't ya know it, I come across a nice deal with a 30' trojan express F/B ?

I know nothing about them and would like some feed back on typical problems that have been reported by trojan owners. The boat is a 1977.

Some of my questions are:
1. Can I expect a nice ride in the ocean or does it pound the waves? (normal seas of course)

2. twin 318s, dual steering, are there any sync problems?

3. its a Straight Drive, is that better or worse than V drives?

4. How about Handling ....Docking, are the rudders too small...too large..etc..

Any info I would love to hear soon,
Thanks,
Lou

I'm not familiar with that exact boat however... Trojans are of average weight and typical hull design although you may find it has a wider beam than most, that equates to a better than average ride. Twin 318's are a proven package. The straight drive vs. v-drive argument will go on for ever... either is fine with various advantages. Trojans have (used to anyways) smaller rudders than most boats but with twins... who cares! :) I like them.
