My Starcraft 24 tritoon creates a lot of splash up onto the engine. Are their any splash guards available to eliminate or reduce the volume beyond the existing 4" rails?

The short answer and correct answer is no.... In reality, it may be possible but not practical..... Sorry... It's a toon thing....

Welcome to iboats.

The reason the exsiting ones are 4'' is because they would probably get ripped off if they were any bigger, there is alot of force under there and the biger they are the more force they take.

Your only real option is fabricate some yourself and have them welded on, you could bolt them also since the pan is so thick but as Eglide said, that is just kinda how it is.

I have used a piece of flexible rubber that is used on the top of snowplows to make an additional flap on the bow guards of my old Manitou to slow down some occasional splashes over the bow. They were sort of like 4" mudflaps on the factory guards. Maybe some sort of extension like that would help you.

In the pic below, you can see where I added a small piece of aluminum "wing" on both sides of the transom to deflect the spray. Works pretty good..

Thanks for the responses. I was unable to open the photo of the splash guards from rickdb1boat.

You might consider one of those add-on devices that acts as a mini third pontoon. I have no direct experience with them, however.

I would do some research first on the pontoon water glide. It works for some and not for others. It's just not a bolt on and go product and takes a lot of adjustments to get it to work right.

I have a 2005 premier tri-toon, when you going at a pretty good speed water dumps into the well where the motor is mounted, is this the problem you were having. There is a bilge pump in mine which pumps the water back out but it seems it shouldnt fill up to the extreme that it does. Did you rivet or bolt on your splash gaurds, thanks,
