i need help deciding on a prop,,,this 250xb is a powerhouse,,,be on a 30ft tritoon,,,what pitch prop to maybe start with,,,im getting motor without any prop.
You can easily get thousands of dollars into props fine tuning a high performance hull. I know guys who have had a half dozen stainless props in 2 years looking for 3 more MPH.
Hey "Wedge", if it helps, we're running a 14 1/4 x 19", Apollo, 3 bladed, stainless prop on our SouthBay 25 triple tube. Actually a little over 27' tube length. Similar motor, Merc. Optimax 250 Pro XS. Motor rated for 6000 rpm's and we're close at 5900 + with a light load. Good luck.
